The Active.com API
The Active.com API provides read-only access to data produced by systems within The Active Network. This includes things like running events, tennis tournaments, triathlons and highschool sports ranking data. Several sites, including livestrong.com and ESPN, are active consumers of the API.
The Active.com API is open, free and is available to individual developers and businesses alike. If you plan on using the API here's all we ask:
- Read through the legal jargon on the terms of use.
- Give us a nod by featuring this logo,
, when displaying data returned by the API on your site.
Follow the Director of Product Development for the API on Twitter, @jgrahamthomas, or the Active.com social media team, @activenetwork, to stay current on API updates, trials and tribulations. And we'd love to get your feedback, either by talking to us on Twitter, through the API forum or on programmableweb.com.
Here's what you need to do to get started:
- Browse the documentation.
- Register for a user account.
- Apply for an API key.
- Join a discussion in the forums.
