Demand Media's LIVESTRONG.com, a “practical resource to find a wealth of health-related information from a wide range of sources”, taps into the Active.com directory of community events to add to the relevance and usefulness of its business listings. For example, the site includes an Active-powered list of nearby events to each of the pages in its Restaurant section:

ESPN Rise uses the SportsPower API Service to better fulfill its goal of offering “all the latest high school sports information, including scores, stats, rankings, polls and athlete profiles”. The site features the top ranked high school football teams across five classifications according to the Active Power Ratings. New ratings and rankings are unveiled every week throughout the season, and are generated at the national, state and local level.

LifeInUSA.com leverages the Active.com Asset Syndication Service to enrich its hyper-local Community Guides, which help prospective and current tourists and immigrants better acquaint themselves with American cities and towns. For example, this Community Guide for Agoura Hills, California includes an Active.com-powered list of upcoming running events in the area, from charity 5K’s and Kids Fun Run’s to longer Trail Runs and more

MapMyFitness, which aims to create an interactive social network that allows people to enjoy and share their workouts, has partnered with Active.com to improve the Races and Events section of their site. In addition to reviewing Course Maps and Routes for a given event, MapMyFitness visitors can now easily jump to registration for those events with a click of the mouse via a "Register Now" link. (Example: Canal Diggers 5k and 1 Mile Fitness Walk page on MapMyFitness).

In a further development of this mutually beneficial relationship, Active.com will soon feature MapMyRun maps on routes on its event details pages

Jersey of the Month, which is a new site that will offer a curated collection of exclusive, limited-edition bicycle jerseys and other bicycling apparel, was one of the first websites to consume our Asset Syndication API.  They've created a module that allows you to find cycling events happening in your area right on the homepage. This new feature enhances their community of cyclists who regualrly participate in bicycling related philanthropy, including the many fundraising rides in the Active.com Directory.
